Sorry for the hold-up, but the sponsors are on board, the park redesign is planned and we are ready for Best Damn Shop 2011! After the carnage from last year (with DC's Palace 5 taking the trophy home) we can't wait to see what everyone has up their sleeves for this installment of the best shop contest on the East Coast! Just like last year, if you've participated in the finals of any BDSC before, you're automatically entered into the finals on Saturday. If you haven't made it to the finals or ever participated before, don't worry. You're still welcome to come out, you just have to pay the $150 entry fee. In the best finals heat in BDSC history, Sean Gregoire and Justin Damer slayed the Project 58 course, barely edging out last years champs Gilbert Crockett and Jordan Bradshaw from Dominion. Here are the final heat results from Saturday, and be on the lookout this week for a complete wrap-up and more coverage. Also, local hero Connor Champion came away with the Best Damn Trick as well.

Last night was a blast and the skateboarding was amazing. At the end of the day the guys from Another Skate Shop in Carolina Beach laid waste to the new Project 58 course. Other highlights included 12 year old Austin O'Brien from 17th Street in Va Beach putting together an impressive 20 minutes of skateboarding and the guys from 3 Ride in Maryland leaving it all on the course but coming up just a bit short.
